What is IQOS and what exavtly is the function all-together?

PMI’s own tests show that IQOS is just as harmful to the lungs as smoking, and it also suppresses immune system function. According to Philip Morris, heated tobacco products like IQOS are safer than cigarettes in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.BEST NEW ILUMA ONE IQOS KIT AVAILABLE IN DUBAI UAE

However, according to PMI’s own study, which was submitted to the FDA, iqos philipine does not differ from smoking in terms of its effects on the lungs, including inflammation and impaired immunological function.

The following is the abstract:

Introduction According to the FDA, heated tobacco products are being marketed as “novel, reduced-harm tobacco products.” A modified risk tobacco product (MRTP) application was filed to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by Philip Morris International in 2016, stating that IQOS, their heated tobacco product, is linked with less damage than regular cigarettes. The application was denied by the FDA.

Methods: A Philip Morris International MRTP application was used in both animal and human studies to evaluate the effects of IQOS on the lungs and immune system, and we were pleased with the results.

Results: The lungs of rats exposed to the IQOS chemical showed signs of pulmonary inflammation and immunomodulation. According to the results, IQOS users who had previously smoked cigarettes did not demonstrate any improvement in lung inflammation or pulmonary function.

Conclusion

In experiments done by Philip Morris International, a significant rise in pulmonary and immunomodulatory damage was identified, with no obvious differences between conventional cigarette smokers and those who changed to IQOS. The dangers of these items may also be exacerbated by their dual usage and secondary exposure, which has been disregarded in this study. This potential was overlooked by Philip Morris International.

Those who want to avoid developing COVID should avoid smoking and using e-cigarettes, but they should also avoid using heated tobacco products.

One of the main reasons health and regulatory agencies have been unable to control goods like IQOS successfully is the conflict between helping smokers and limiting harm to the broader public. IQOS’s decision will be extensively scrutinised as a result of this, as well.
